Derval has 30+ years of senior management experience in industry (financial services and technology) and advisory roles. She is a strategy and transformation advisor to public, private, scaling and global organisations.

Her current focus is on working with clients to design and co-create strategies for growth and digital transformation. Using design thinking processes for strategy and change, she challenges business models, probing leaders to think both strategically and innovatively. She guides her clients with discipline and creativity to achieve successful strategies.

Derval works across a number of sectors (Financial Services, IT, Life Sciences, Not for Profit), designing and delivering consultancy, training and facilitation to drive strategic transformation and develop high-performing teams. In recent years she has advised clients on strategies for digital transformation. Derval has been a business strategy advisor to high-growth clients of Enterprise Ireland for the last ten years.

Derval holds an MSc. in Strategy and Organisation Behaviour from Trinity College, Dublin and is certified in Designing Strategy ™ from IDEO U at Stanford University and Change by Design ™ from CIID Copenhagen. She is an Adjunct Teaching Fellow at Trinity College, where she teaches digital transformation, strategy by design and developing an innovation culture.
